At the top of a hill in the city of Farroupilha is located the residential building consisted in two volumes with four apartments each. The terrain topography was respected: the ground floor was configured in two levels, reducing environmental impact, time and cost of execution. The wooden panel of the ground floor, retracted in relation to the sidewalk, amplifies the communication between resident and city and invites the pedestrian to use it. The floor plan of the apartments is flexible and, through the positioning of the wet areas in the back, there is a possibility to integrate social and private areas. The wide openings, facing the front and the back of the building, guarantee a visual connection with the region’s landscape. The brise maintains the privacy in the intimate areas.
